Scott, I liked your intergrity speech. I'm just going take that into a different direction.

As I teenager, I was an avid reader of Mad Magazine. Far too many Mad cartoons have been permanently etched into my neural network.

One is an Al Jaffee cartoon. An elderly lady is in a retail store. She is facing to two cages, each with a devil inside. One cage is big with a big devil. The other cage is small with a small devil. She is pointing to the smaller devil, while the male sales clerk approves of her choice.

The Caption:

"Voting is like choosing the lesser of two evils."

That was 45 years ago. Not much has really changed, has it?

As long as we have political parties, we really can't vote on integrity. Like your bosses sacrificing integrity to enhance the bottom line, integrity is often sacrificed to win elections. Add in voters having limited choices, integrity really cannot be rewarded in a way we would like.

You know I have a solution for this. Maybe I was inspired by Mad Magazine! Scary!

--------------

I wish you the best on resolving your family issue. Knowing that a near future solution is not on the horizon might be the right way to approach the problem.
