Sigh.

The EC is not an overtly undemocratic process. Mr. Trump was a viable contender in 2016, and he was in 2020.

Mr. Biden's score of 80m to 74m is not a decisive victory. Things could have happened to change that score. Had not a fellow by the name of George Floyd remained obscure, many of those 80m would not have seen enough incopmetence to cast a vote for Mr. Biden.

The USA has bigger political problems to solve. The EC is just a smokescreen to keep those problems out of public attention.

BTW, the EC was designed for a non-partisan environment. It should have worked. But when the political parties were established, much of the good intent of the EC was lost.
