Sigh!
Another melodrama as overly ambitious people clamor over each other for status, influence, and power.
There is no political messiah — from either the political left or political right, or the political middle for that matter.
The D’s have only themselves to blame for Mr. Trump’s victory: they put up a candidate that was vulnerable in so many ways, thinking anyone with just an ounce of cred could beat Mr. Trump. As elections are often uncontrolled social experiments to which nobody really controls, this 2016 election turned into a coin flip, and the coin flipped the wrong way. The electoral college and Russian intereferers might have given Mr. Trump a slight edge, but he earned most of his 62m votes on his own merit. Had he truly been an un-viable candidate (or should I say “vastly inferior to Ms. Clinton”), American democracy would have given him the result such a candidate deserved.
It’s a strange world! It’s time to change it. There is no political messiah!
