So true. Rather than look inwardly for the reasons why the "debate" has been lost, other techniques are employed to "win."
One fellow on this thread introduced to me the concept of "gish galloping". It means a debate approach that throws so many things out there at once that it is hard to rebut anything. The fellow that inspired this article used his 25-point list as his gish gallop. I doubt it was the first time he posted that list.
Using good logic on most conservatives may feel good for the one employing good logic. But the reality is that the other side just goes back to his or her community to get his or her current views reinforced. The other side has not learned much at all.
And there are too many elements of the political left employing similar tactics.
It's a strange world.
