Sorry, I saw that coming. When the R primary was down to 4-5 candidates, and Mr. Trump was leading, I thought, "He could be the next American president." Something had happened to the American psyche that no one was seeing.

I don't think even Mr. Trump believed he could win. I believe his initial intent was to get a lot publicity, put in a respectable 4th finish in the R primary, and go back to business. My observations of his campaign style in the last weeks of the campaign was someone who was staying in the race only to not be declared a quitter.

While the polls were showing a close race, many pundits were predicting an easy victory for Ms. Clinton. "No," I thought, "we are in a coin-flip election." The coin flipped in a trump direction.
