Sorry, the average man off the street is no more ready to assume public office as he is to fly a Boeing 737.
A man (or woman) that is able to garner the party nomination and later the general election is demonstrating a basic set of skills for public offic. But that bar is still pretty low.
Maybe I suggest a new way of governining?
