Thank for the insight about "pacifiist" nature.

All the east European nations that joined NATO did so because they did not want Russian occupation again. It seems to me that the "pacifists" were OK with with this geopolitical outcome.

The surrender of parts of Ukraine is plausible. I just read my first credible article that the Ukrainian army is starting to tire and lose moral, as they have not broken the Russian lines yet.

Much more drama to come.
