Thank you for that nice little round of recent history. It is interesting to see that the the psychology is just as important as the software.
I too was a G+ user. I found the G+ communities I belonged to rather moribund compared to other internet forums I have belonged to. Lots of posters, but few readers/listeners. I am probably just as guilty of not listening as the other 99%. Something about the psychology behind G+?
I became disenchanted with FB as time passed. Today I keep my account active because it is the only way to get hold of some people. But as I was losing interest in FB, I invented a new kind of social media site, one where users would take control of the corporate decisions (i.e. a co-operative). If one is interested, google “Dave Volek’s Consensus.”
