Thank you for this piece. I am writing a novel. A part of that novel is a young person trying to understand why she took on some bad lifestyle choices a few years previous. I am struggling with the dialogue between her and a wiser young person to help explain why we hang on to destructive life choices. Your piece is going to help me a little.
