Thank you for your kind words. Most political writers on Medium are rehashing the same kind of stories that CNN, MSBC, and other left-leaning outlets are doing. Clever writing with interesting twists, but not original thinking.
I have frequently pointed out that we should not criticize Mr. Trump, but the system that put him in a credible position to be elected. Medium contributors--and all political pundits in general--fail to understand that.
Medium is my 10th (or so) forum since 2009. The results are the same.
I just don't grok all this new internet stuff. Podcasts make little sense to me. Twitter made no sense. I found Facebook a time waster, and use it only for an address book these days.
After working on this project for 24 years, I don't tell my social circle about the TDG any more. I got tired of seeing eyeballs roll backwards. The less they know, the better we get along.
I have interacted with enough people over the years to have created a reasonable focus group. I could go to those places you recommended, but other projects are calling.
This will be my last Medium article for a while. I keep saying I'm going to quit Medium, but I keep getting drawn back. If nothing else, Medium has been the most interesting forum for me.
My software developer is back in action, and I need to put my attention to the project we are working on.
One thing that I have wondered about is that so many Medium contributors should be looking for some kind of break to gain recognition. The TDG is a new kind of story to cover.
About a month ago, a Medium reader recommendation a book about the IMF. This book is getting me more angry than The Shock Doctrine.
