Thank you for your thoughtful response. Not often I get such length.

Your "oligarchy replacing oligarchy" resonates with one of my recent articles about the Asimov prophecy:

https://medium.com/tiered-democratic-governance/asimov-foundation-democracy-26ea4578e49d

If I truly believe that a new system could not be built, I would not be on Medium pontificating at how the world is going backwards, even with my superior insights of the slide. I just don't see much sense in shouting "the boat is sinking and there is no way to save it." This is almost as silly hoping the Democrats somehow get their act together such that the Republicans are soundly defeated. Then the Republicans can reform themselves into something more sensible.

Your response suggested mass appeal was necessary to build a new system. The TDG needs only 1% (maybe less) to get things started. As the old system crumbles, the TDG is maturing. The TDG will be a credible alternative to any oligarchy.

If no TDG (or something else) is forthcoming, then we should be content with oligarchy-replacing-oligarchy in the next century.
