I've been here three years. I noticed a big turnover of writers right away. This kind of shows the money and/or recognition are not here--for most of us.

Most of us are writers who would prefer to be read than read. There is not any big demographic of readers only.

I also believe Medium gives its top writers an unfair advantage. Maybe Medium is scared of losing these writers.

I will make 3x my annual subscription fee for a very sparse readership. I don't think Medium is profitable. It just might be sold off some day.
