That says a lot.

Back in Alberta, I have seen a transition of power from the moderate conservatives to the whacky conservatives. This group is now running most of the constiuency associations--and setting the political agenda for the province.

Last week, our premier was put in a bad spot. She had to comment on the chemtrail conspiracy. She is a reasonably sensible person, but she could not dismiss this crackpot conspiracy as a crackpot conspiracy. She did a political dodge, suggesting the US department of defence could be involved. She is scared of the base. They will fire her if she steps out of line.

Anyways, this whole political shift is about power: which group is holding it? To move our group higher in the power structure is just a natural human tendency. The whack conservatives have learned how to get this power. The Trump base has more power than it did a decade ago. They want more. A natural human tendency.
