You are quite right in that families and strong communities have an important part to play in bringing a stronger society. I'm not so sure the leaders of the left fully understand that. But in the some breath, technology has given us the ability to turn off our neighbors. Quite a big problem.

While the lower classes of the USA have gone towards the right, I see this as temporary. The upper classes of the right really don't want to share political goodies with the lower classes. In time, the two will separate.

We need a system with the people on the bottom have a say--and know they have a say.
