"The American public does not care about sex scandals."

Hmmm.

On one hand, they do care if the opposing politicians are caught in an affair. On the other hand, they look the other way if their favorite politicians are caught. The issue is often partisan.

My personal belief is that if a person cannot control their libido, they are not fit for what this job requires of them. Can you imagine someone staring down the Russians in a possible nuclear war--and yet still trying to think about getting laid a little later in the afternoon?

I will not vote for a promiscuous person--and any one else who has a serious addiction problem. Politics is hard enough without having these emcumbrances affecting their judgement.

Unfortunately, there are enough voters like me out there that we can make these situations into a scandal and tip the electoral scales in the other direction. Otherwise, these scandals would remain as uneventful.

The USA had eight years of Mr. Obama as president. One thing that he gave to the office was a moral character. In that way, his policies became the discussions, not his indescretions.
