The article that got the ire of the top writer a couple of weeks ago, I will say, had a point. I have often dovetailed a response to an articles with clickbait to my flagship article. But I've been doing this for three years. I've had my fingers slapped a few times, and I no longer play in those writers' sandboxes. Most don't care.
Ironically, I think those sandboxes are where most of my followers found me.
I took it as hint when I got the "rules" after the top writer said he was going to turn me in. But why did I get the rules again today?
There may be some truth that Medium would like to cull long-time writers who have not become top writers. Kind of like the D-League of the NBA. Not much sense keeping these guys if they can't crack the big league--even if they are the better players in their D team.
I still think my idea of writers moving fellow writers up the tiers has merit.
