The days of being able to implement a high marginal tax rate on corporations are gone. They do have legal mechanisms to avoid taxes. Trying to close loopholes usually means more administration for businesses who are paying taxes.

But the UBI is a good solution. In Canada, we are about 20% the way there. We have have various social programs that are easy to administer. We give them other names than UBI, but they are UBI.
