The educational institution I worked wanted to prove to the world how quickly they adopted new technology. When Windows 95 came out, several thousand computers were changed from 3.11 to Windows 95.

Crash, crash, crash, and crash. Did I say "crash" enough times? Too many people could not get things done.

Within a month, the institution reverted back to 3.11. Probably the last time it became an early adopter.

I had such a bad experience with Windows 95 that I never wanted to use it again. I kept my home computer at 3.11 until it needed replacement. The new computer had Windows 98. This system also occasionally crashed, but not anywhere close as Windows 95.

Bad memory!
