The Georgia laws are indeed clearly designed to silence majorities. You, I, devout racists, and many others see that.
But it is not that clear to the not-so-whacky Republicans. Reducing polling stations in black neighborhoods is about "being able to provide security." Not being allowed to hand out water and food in voting lineups is about "not having voter's decision influenced while in the lineup."
Whether they truly buy into these reasons is another story. Do these people see the racist connection? Or do they prefer a Republican outcome over better implementation of democracy? Kind of hard to tell the exact motive for agreeing with these laws.
Anyways, keep up with the writing. You have a unique angle to politics that keeps things interesting (for me at least).
