The legislative changes in Mr. Nabert's article are indeed "Abject failures." They are signs that the current system is increasingly failing.
I saw this coming a long time ago. From 1986 to 1992, I was a very active member of a Canadian political party. As time when on, I started realizing that the climate inside any political party is dysfunctional, which then spills into governance and society at large. In other words, political parties are not leading us to a better place. More likely the opposite.
But somehow I invented another system of demoncratic governance--one that addresses all the flaws I was seeing.
We can continue with the current way, hoping it will somehow reform itself.
