The Medium algorithms may be not be providing me with a natural advantage. But I've still engaged with at least 3,000 people here about an alternative democracy. The disinterest cannot be blamed on Medium.

I saw the Mastadon piece. I could not figure out how this is going to help me out. Seems like another version of Twitter.

I just responded to an article that had a couple of young folksingers singing about a new way. I mentioned that music does not provide skills for engaging in today's political forums. Nor will it help much with the TDG's future forum. But people don't like hearing this kind of talk: the artists will figure things out for us. Or so they say.

BTW, I earned $18 last month on 10 articles. That’s a good chunk of my annual $55 subscription. I can’t figure out how this site earns a profit.
