The news media outlets are dependent on advertising revenue. And the advertisers are looking for high ratings. All the mass media outlets are looking to increase their ratings. Mr. Trump is much more colorful than Mr. Obama and Mr. Bush to bring in veiwers. It does not matter whether the media outlet is pro- or anti-Trump. Both sides win with a higher ratings with this fellow in high office.

If a media outlet can increase its rating by just 5%, it can justify higher advertising rates. Most of this increase falls into the hands of the shareholders. You might not see this profit, but the owners sure do.

CNN and Foxx are not even true competitors anymore. They are both catering to their echo chambers, trying hard to get them to stay tuned to their respective screens--rather than watching football games or Star Wars reruns.
