The "no moral high" ground is a good point. All of our collective decisions are clouded by all sorts of vested interests and wayward thinking.
As much as I would like to see the Russian army driven out of Ukraine, I recognize this outcome has flaws. But so too does putting Ukraine--and probably Finland to Bulgaria--under Russian occupation again.

With this new democracy, we can finally tackle some of the more subtle forms of corruption the West employs----like the IMF.
Until then, we have to make geopolitical decisions. Your preference of not assisting Ukraine is just another geopolitical decision that has its own spectrum of moral high ground to work around.
There are no easy answers. We just need a better democracy.
