The old Roman axiom of "Bread and Circuses" to maintain order still applies today. Even when the TDG assumes governance, it needs to keep this axiom in mind.

A big part of today's chaos is the reduction of the middle class. People are seeing less hope. Less hope means more action in the streets.

I was watching CBC news this morning. It seems the average house price in Canada is $740,000. Who in the hell can afford the down payment and subsequent mortgage payments? Maybe the upper 20%. But for the rest of us, an average house is out of reach.
