The polls I was watching were telling the 2016 election was going to be coin flip. There were, however, many pundits that interpreted 1% or 2% edge as being an easy victory for Ms. Clinton. More wishful thinking than science.

The pollsters in 2016 and 2020 got things right, more or less.

The last four elections in Alberta had the pundits at odds with the pollsters. The polls were saying a fairly decisive victory by one political party. Yet the pundits were trying to paint a close race.
