The response by Jim Roye was quite insightful. He said there are different degrees of consensus, from unanimity to majority vote.

Each TDG will find its own level of consensus. Whatever level they employ, it is still better than "I can solve the problems, and people who disagree are fools," which is kind of where we are now.

A good example of team sports is MAGA and Donald Trump. So I'm not sure this model should be employed without question.

The TDG elections are designed such that the people with better consensus-building skills should rise higher.

Consensus means keeping an open mind. As we listen, we will learn new facts and perspectives. Then our opinions will change.

Sam Young tends to challenge the TDG in a good way. When he lays out his objections, I see another angle of the TDG I had not seen before.
