The roots of this current war go a long ways. Many analysts will claim to the contentious history between Russian and Ukraine. But there is another more recent root:
After 1991, the IMF kind of forced Russian and Ukraine to accept its economic ideology to get financial aid to keep the short-term stability of these two countries.
