I have learned to bring my opinion to the table--knowing full well that it could be changed as more facts and perspectives become known. I think THEY call that "listening."
And I have found that I can still go along with something I disagree with----when I can see that some thought has been put into the contrary position. But I don't have much patience for decisions that seem based on the direction of the wind.
The early builders of the TDG must learn how to bring this principles into their deliberations. There should not be decisions based on who can yell the loudest and longest.
Wonderful article, Ms. Daisy. The only thing I would add is that it takes time and practice to learn this new way. Even today, I still struggle with "my opinion is best for all."
