The year 2008 was when I put all the pieces of the TDG together. I came to the stunning conclusion that the current system--even a fairly progressive system like Canada's--would never change itself into the TDG.

This is why the TDG needs to be built outside the current political processes. In this construction, the TDG builders can focus on learning the new lessons for TDG governance. rather than getting into fruitless political pursuits. As the TDG matures, it will be providing "advice" for the old system. The old system may or may not take that advice, but the TDG will gain credilibity with its wisdom. In time, the citizenry will come to recognize the TDG as the preferred way, and the old way will recognize it is really isn't holding on to too legitimacy any more. It will agree to fold itself up.

But not until the TDG proves itself.
