There doesn't seem to be much progress on worker-owned businesses. I can think of several reasons why we are not going in this direction, some sinister, some natural.
For many years, I have bouncing an idea in my head about a new kind of corporate arrangement. Basically, the traditional "investor-driven" model would be replaced with an investor/employee/customer/supplier model. This would ensure a more symbiotic relationship between stakeholders, yet still give these stakeholders more freedom.
Alas, the opportunity to write this book is not there.
