There is a relationship between the "idiocy" of the people and its system of governance. The countries where Covid restrictions worked well are countries where government and cultural conventions have more control of its people.

If this article's intent was to uplift some of the people, such an intent will be limited. Eventually it bumps up against a government that is generally disrespected.

It is time to consider a new way of governing.
