There is an old saying that goes something like this:

"Physician, heal thyself."

We can't send our military to Ukraine because we are not healed. Even if we did, we are not healed enough for that military to be effective.

These days, I'm about half way through a book from a prominent political scientist on how she thinks we should fix democracy. So far, I have not been impressed.
