There is little high ground on the R side these days. I wasn’t surprised that Mr. Trump got elected and that he brought a lot of controversy to POTUS. I am surprised at how he has been able to hold on to his base for so long.

Trouble is that Americans didn’t have a lot of choice in 2016. Ms. Clinton would have brought her own set of controversies into the White House.

The system is broken. Biden Sr. should have dropped out the race a few months back — if there were any moral backbone in the D party. Maybe that’s why Mr. T is able to hold on to his base.
