There really is "no desire" from what I can see on Medium. I have been promoting an alternative democracy here for four years. My ideas are not worthy of investigation, so it seems.

Rather, we seem to waiting for the wealthy, the political elite, and academics to come up with something for us.

I don't think we should wait for some kind of Armageddon. The victors of such conflicts will probably not instill democracy in their world, national, or local order.
