There was an analyst who did a little math for the 2016 primary season. Only 4% of Americans cast Ms. Clinton as their first choice--and only 4% of Americans cast Mr. Trump as their first choice. In other words, 92% of Americans got to vote for a compromise in the general election.

If one has a pathological desire to acquire power via democratic, the US primary system is a fantastic system tool. One only needs to sell one's candidateship to 4% to eventually have a victory.

In the TDG, one needs to continuously prove ones' abilities to earn a top spot. Neither Mr. Trump nor Ms. Clinton could make it very far.

The masses might not be smart enough to build a TDG. But I believe only 1% of the population can start building it today--and it will turn into a system tho masses find more legitimate than the current circus.
