There's a book called "11" by Paul Hanley. He describes how Earth could feed 11 billion people if it's agricultural practices were reformed. He cites papers from all over academia to come up with that 11 figure.
There are a lot of political writers on Medium. Most are projecting dystopia or trying to paint "the other side" as fools.

You are different: you are acknowledging solutions that have worked or currently being implemented--and don't get much attention from the media. You also seem to have a practical hope for the future. These other writers do not have such hope.
I recently read article about Albania. I thought it needed a lot more work to convey whatever message you were trying to get out. If you want, I can spend a couple of hours analyzing a draft or two to give you some insight into more effective writing.
