There's a few writers here who believe the new democracy will come from the ruins of the current democracy. They have some vague preferences, but nothing too solid. You would be one of these writers.
In 2009, I believe I got my alternative democracy to a state where it should make sense to a few people. I believe western democracy had at least 20 years left--and the new system (which needs time to mature) would be ready. I was wrong on both counts.
It would have been nice to have built this new democracy before the old one fell apart, but now it looks like we have to build it during an oligarchy.
The USA may indeed rip apart as you have written. But the more progressive of these new pieces are more likely to continue with the old system--i.e. Democrats, Republicans, and documents from 1789 --than think of something new.
