This article forced me to listen to the lyrics of “Revolution” a little more closely. I didn’t realize the song is probably challenging Beetle fans to think differently about the protest culture as a means to effect change in society.

And I have a agree. While many protest movements have reasonable goals, too often, when they have had effect, the results are only half baked.

To my thinking, when we have to protest to force politicians to do “the right thing”, that is a sign that democracy is not working well.
