This article is a bit sensationalist, but it shows the complexities of developing sound public policy. If anything should be taken from this articles is that western democracy is really not capable of handling these complexities.
It’s time for a new system — especially in California.
And I just repeat the conclusion as it deserves repeating:
But the biggest problem is ideological — if progressivism fails the working class, then the the working class will look to the far-right for answers. And if California becomes a symbol of hypocritical progressivism, then we’re a liability to work-class people everywhere.
