This is a good question. I am closer to your age, and those times dictated that kids somehow deal with their own adversaries. Most of us survived, but I'm not sure the good old days were that good.

When the parents of the school bullies (two brothers) decided to pull their two sons out of our school, my life got better. So too for other kids.
