Having no guns (or very few guns) around does have justification--if a constitutional crisis was the goal.

My next question would be: "Did the planners actually plan for all this?" If you think so, then this conspiracy goes deep.

Australia had a constitutional crisis in the mid-1970s. No one really knew who was in charge. But the leaders of the main parties were of a more sane mindset.
