This is a great response.
As I am writing this, I am watching PBS Newshour. It is fixated on the current trial of Mr. Trump.
As I have mentioned, I have been out of the American legislative loop for about a year. My last "legislative news" was the Infrastructure bill, which the Republicans voted against. All the other stuff you mentioned is news to me.
Having said that, I am not exactly on top of all the legislation that goes through the Canadaian Parliament and the Alberta legislature. If it doesn't make the TV/Radio news, I am likely to miss it. There is always a lot of legislation that doesn't get media attention.

Part of my knowledge comes from Medium. There were many writers here who were critical of the Biden administration. I can't imagine why they were so angry if Mr. Biden was doing all the great legislative things you say he is doing.
I have also noticed that this criticism has abated quite a few in the past year. So maybe the Biden administration is now seen doing something in a progressive way.
However, I have not seen any Medium articles talking about the new legislation you have described. Maybe you need to write some articles on this matter.

I don't see my hypothesis of a cultural power grab that much difference than a demographic not seeing the benefits of inclusivity. This demographic has been inculcated so much in this matter that it sees a one-party state as a good solution.
I don't think the USA is out of the woods of oligarchy yet.
