This is a partisan piece that does not want to see a conservative judge put on the Supreme Court.
The rules seem to allow Mr. Trump to make this appointment and "ram" it through the Senate.
And, I should say, if the D's held a majority in the Senate in 2016, they would have done the same thing in 2016.
The founding fathers made these rules based on non-partisanship in governance. That part of the US Constitution is becoming less relevant as time passes.
Time for another way for the USA to govern itself.
