This is a useful Umair article.
I am an inventor. Since about 2005, I put put up about 10 inventions, using Google ads to get the message out. Nothing has worked out. Now I better understand why.
I originally thought my marketing budget was too low. If I had more money to throw at Google ads, something would eventually stick. But with this article, it seems I will need to hire a professional marketer to build a brand. This will take even more money. Even then, there is no guarantee of success.
Up until now, I had believed that I could Google ad my way to reaching my audience. But there seems to be forces acting against small, innovative entrepreneurs.

In the past, I placed Google ad units on my websites. I was never happy with the kind of ads showing up on my work, but there was so little control from my end. I don't use Google ads in this way anymore.
So I invented an online advertising platform where the website publisher chooses the advertisers that will show up. The platform puts the publisher and advertiser together; if the publisher likes the ads, they do a little negotiation, the platform gets a small commission.
This adverting platform has been parked on another website. Unfortunately, the link is broken.
