This is just a fluffy piece piece of work with lots of platitudes about freedom.
I was in Czechoslovakia shortly after the fall of communism. True it is that these people did not have the material freedom as the USA. But these people still had a lot of freedom in their own lives. They could change jobs, travel to almost any part of the country they wanted, get married to a spouse of your choice, raise kids, etc.
Could they speak their mind about political things? No. But on the grand scheme of total freedom vs. total oppression, the two systems weren’t that far apart.
Yesterday, a colleague of mine who is a bit of an aggressive driver got a speeding ticket last week. He believes his freedom is being violated.
