This project (or a similar project) has been making the rounds on Canadian media.

One thing this article leaves out is that recipients of this money were vetted for addiction issues. If they were known addicts, they didn't become part of the study.

In other words, the recipients were normal people who had fallen hard times.

$7500 is not a lot of money. Many landlords would not rent just because there is $7500 in the renter's bank account.

It would be interesting to see how many of these people became self-sustaining again. This study needs to go longer.

But from what I can see so far, this study makes a great case for a UBI.
