Here is my fifth report of articles that should have done better. Don’t get me wrong: many of my poor performers were either expected not to do well or I can now understand why they did not do well. But some poor performers are a bit of a mystery as to why they performed so poorly.

Here is my performance scale:

>$1.60 is “above average.”

$0.80 to $1.60 is “average.”

<$0.80 is “below average.”

One third of my articles fall into each of these three categories. Again, I only bring up the “below average” ones that should have done better.

I wrote this article 12 years ago, after the Fukushima disaster. I posted it to Medium last November. While the article is dated, the first part of title should make the environmentalists on Medium happy. And then the title adds “Maybe” to cast doubt. What a literary twist!
