To me, the whole process could have been avoided if the USA had a different system of governance, where the likes of Mr Trump and Ms Clinton could not rise too high.

I think Mr Mueller and team are also very wary of prosecuting a president who is immensely popular. When the polls numbers didn’t drop as Trump associates were put in jail, they took a step back. Let Congress (it won’t) or Election 2020 (could be successful) deal with this mess. But to prosecute a popular president will bring a lot of discredit to the institutions among Trump supporters.

But overall, a nice piece. To me there is enough there that something more than a little fishy was going on.
