Tony: For too long, I think the political parties have divided the population into "marketing segments"--and not really cared too much for citizens outside their base segment. We are reaping the rewards of that political strategy.
In the book launch of my first edition in 2000, a fellow asked me: "Dave, how do we move from HERE to THERE?" I hadn't thought of that.
I tried to answer that question in my second version (2004). But the transition did not mature until the third version (2009). In Chapter 6, I outline a process where we can PEACEFULLY move from western democracy to the TDG.
But the TDG will still require 10 to 20 years to mature. As it matures, western democracy will bumble along until it becomes obvious the TDG is a suitable and superior successor.
I'm not so sure the USA has 10 to 20 years of democratic rule any more. It seems we might have to go through two revolutions (one bad and one "good") to get to a place where an idea like the TDG is fully considered. But the mindset of the victors of the "good" revolution might not be in a place to implement something like the TDG.
Even a catastrophe might not help the TDG.
