Too often we in the herd are seeking the easy route.
I have developed an alternative system of governance. Despite the apathy, cynicism, and distrust of current democratic institutions (and the direction they seem to be going), no one really wants to investigate my TDG.
They have taken the easy routes, which I can summarize as:
- The world is going to hell and there’s not a damn thing anyone can do about it.
- There is a political messiah out there who will fix things for us.
- I will just protest, trying to bend the will of those ambitious citizens who aspire for public office.
The TDG, on the other hand, requires sacrificing a few hours a month — and working collaboratively together to build it.
The herd mentality is the easy route.
